David Rivera is a Senior Vice President in GIC’s Integrated Strategies Group, which has a flexible mandate to invest in private and public markets across a broad range of sectors and asset classes. At GIC, David has led direct, co-investments, and fund investments totaling over $3Bn in industries including technology (Virtu, Dun & Bradstreet, Pagaya, Wilshire, ecoATM), services (WSP, Epic Staffing), energy (Vencer, VTTI, NuStar), and manufacturing and consumer products (Fender, ProAmpac). David leads GIC’s family office coverage, and has led multiple investments alongside sophisticated family investment vehicles in diverse industries.

David began his career as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in the New York City and Buenos Aires offices, where he primarily focused on financial institutions M&A advisory. He then joined the International Finance Corporation, member of the World Bank Group, where he executed debt and equity investments in chemicals and manufacturing companies in emerging markets globally. After completing his MBA at Harvard, David worked for Apollo Global Management in New York City, focused on buyout opportunities for Apollo’s private equity funds, as well as within portfolio company Caesars Entertainment. He joined GIC in 2016 and is based in the New York office.

David received a BA from Yale College ‘06, cum laude, and an MBA from Harvard Business School ‘13. David speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
